Mark Collins is a nationally recognized leader in the fields of health care and technology, with more than 45 years of industry experience. He is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley, with a BA in Psychology and Masters in Healthcare Administration. He completed the Executive Program at the Stanford Business School and has been trained as an executive coach as a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas Executive Coaching program.

Prior to starting his own firm, Mark was a national Partner in Korn/Ferry International, the world’s largest executive search firm. He has recruited CEOs, Board members, and other senior level executives to many prominent organizations in the health care and high technology industries. His effectiveness as an executive recruiter was recognized when he earned the highest customer service rating of all partners in the firm, world-wide. Key to Mark’s success is his ability to provide more than executive recruiting services. He establishes long-standing partnerships with his clients and serves as an advisor and sounding board on a wide range of business issues.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mark was the co-founder and CEO of Datis Corporation, an information and software company serving the healthcare and insurance industries nationwide. Mark led Datis from start-up to serving customers throughout the nation. The company was known as a market leader and innovator in providing technology tools that enabled more effective program and capital planning, pricing decisions, and clinical quality outcome assessments. As CEO, Mark had extensive interaction with senior executives in client organizations.

Before co-founding Datis, Mark served for ten years as CEO of the Hospital Council of Northern California. Through HCNC Mark was continuously involved with CEOs and senior executives from the Association’s 165 member hospitals. In one-on-one and group interactions he addressed crucial issues at a time when the industry faced significant changes, such as ending Certificate of Need, and implementing selective contracting and prospective payment. Using his keen sensitivity of political dynamics, Mark lead successful deliberations to facilitate innovative programs and initiatives.
